The results from UC Davis! This handsome Perlino stallion is Ee CrCr AA! This means that "The Buck Starts Here" will throw creme and the agouti EVERY TIME.  That means NO black, smokey black, or smokey cream foals!  See our explanation of the Agouti Gene!  He will produce buckskin 100% of the time with a homozygous black or bay mare. With a heterozygous black or bay mare, he will produce buckskin 75% of the time and 25% palomino.    From sorrel mares, he has a 50/50 chance of buckskin or palomino.  UC Davis has also determined that he is compatible with all bloodtypes. Not only is this perlino stallion a GENETIC GOLDMINE for those of you seeking to produce a buckskin foal, but he has a NATURAL walk and great disposition.

The Buck Starts Here's first foal crop 2005..Buck produced with black mares 5 buckskins and 1 palomino, with sorrel mares 4 buckskins and 1 palomino, with bay mares 4 buckskins and 3 palominos, with one black tobiano one solid buckskin. !

His first crop of colts this year 2005 has been outstanding. One of his buckskin babies took reserve in the Midwest Futurity Championships this year.  Buck has no Pride of Midnight blood and is the perfect cross for Pride of Midnight bred mares.  With his old fashioned bloodlines and their proven walking ability and the beauty of the Pride line, his babies show a hybrid vigor both in gait and conformation.  I have been very pleased with Buck's foals, simply exceptional quality foals!!
